I was able to get in on Amazon MP3′s $3.99 special on Monday. I would have paid more than that for this album. Of course, many will compare it to Paul Simon’s Graceland. However it is it’s own distinct album. Rolling Stone had a great review of Contra.

To celebrate the release, they performed some of the new songs in Los Angeles. My favorite song is Giving Up The Gun, and they performed it at the Music Box in L.A.
