We finally have our new mailbox in, and it only took 4 weeks to find the right one. Apparently, Beazer uses the same mailbox in most of the neighborhoods they build, but you can’t find them in a common hardware store. I guess the whole uniform aspect is one of the joys/irritations of living in an association. I can put up with that if it keeps the riff-raff out, and protects our property values.

I am tired of not having any say with my HOA. Beazer, our builder, has not released the HOA to the residents of our community. Besides the obvious annoyances, here is just one really irritating thing about this situation. Since some idiot bulldozed my mailbox two weeks ago, I’ve had to go through endless phone calls just to try to figure out what to do. There is no way I’m going to go buy a mailbox, only to have to pull it up because the HOA says it’s not in compliance. It has been two weeks, and we still don’t have a resolution. Meanwhile, I can’t get my mail. WTF!!!

I am going to start a mailbox watch. My mailbox was murdered in the early morning hours of August 2nd. It is now August 14. We are on day 12. I’ll update you until I finally get a mailbox.
